MBA | Резидентные периоды

Резидентные периоды

6 Резидентных периодов, длительностью 5 рабочих дней каждый, во время которых требуется очное участие на протяжении всей рабочей недели, предоставляют студентам IBR МВА возможность работать с профессорами над новыми концепциями, развивать практические навыки, обмениваться идеями и опытом с коллегами по группе.

Во время международных периодов предусмотрены визиты на предприятия, на которых студенты применяют свои знания и навыки на практике.

Кроме того, это хороший повод ознакомится с культурой и достопримечательностями разным стран, путешествуя при поддрежке, предоставляемой Информационно-консультационными Центрами IBR.

Резидентные периоды посвящены важнейшим модулям программы IBR МВА. Каждая группа имеет свой график международных поездок, о котором сообщается заблаговременно до начала программы.

Residential period 1

Strategic management (202)

Course content

  • The history of strategic planning
  • Essentials of entrepreneurship
  • Fundamental concepts of competitive advantage
  • Potential of profitability and options to identify and develop it
  • Approaches to strategy formation and their application
  • Business and its role in society

Course learning outcome

Students understand the importance of strategic planning and entrepreneurial thinking in times of an unpredictable economic and political future. They are able to identify the influence of cross cultural and ethical issues that have an influence on strategic thinking.

International input

  • Israel: focus on Israeli entrepreneurial know-how how to identify and develop business opportunities
  • China: focus on Chinese experience in developing internationally operating ventures
  • India: focus on introducing India as one of the fastest growing and most attractive markets of tomorrow


Residential period 2

Course learning outcome

Empowering students with the techniques and skills that are applied in living case studies to

  • identify product and/or service contribution
  • evaluate investment decisions
  • plan ongoing performance based on key drivers
  • devise timely and relevant feedback for monitoring ongoing performance
  • implement change
  • make meaningful contributions to management decision-making

Hungary: focus on Hungarian know-how in developing ventures while being under competitive pressure of more effectively operating economies


Residential period 3

Marketing management (402)

Course content

  • Analysing marketing opportunities based on real life cases
  • Making marketing decisions for real customers
  • Delivering marketing programmes
  • Recent developments in marketing

Course learning outcome

To be able to apply marketing management know-how to a real situation that includes analysis of marketing problems and the development of real solutions under the guidance of professors and company representatives.

International input

  • South Africa: focus on South African know-how how to develop market volume in second and third world countries taking into consideration latest marketing insight and approaches
  • China: focus on how to develop market volumes in the Chinese markets while taking into consideration latest marketing insight and approaches

Human resource management (503)

Course content

  • Leadership

Course learning outcome

Students will be able to understand how HRM is linked to strategy and culture of the organisation. They will be able to analyse their own organisations's culture and its impact on all the areas of the company's operations. They will know how to apply specific tools to identify the employee's potential and that encourage the employee's development. They will be able to recognise the importance of corporate and personal leadership values in contributing to the organisation's success.

International input

  • Germany: Focus on German know-how in developing and sustaining a highly effective workforce
  • South Africa: Focus on South African know-how in developing a diverse workforce that is able to compete on global markets


Residential period 5

Operations management (604)

Course content

  • Current issues of operations management
  • Practical approaches for identifying operations management problems
  • Strategies for solving operations management problems while taking into consideration latest technological developments in the IT sector
  • Effective communication of solutions to project owners while focusing on tangible benefits created for the organisation

Course learning outcome

To be able to apply operations management know-how to a real world operational problems. These problem cases include analysis of operation management problems and the development of workable solutions under the guidance of professors and company representatives. The training also includes assessing the applicability of latest IT developments. The selected cases shall preferably allow students to apply skills and know how that they acquired throughout the whole MBA programme.

International input

  • Germany: focus on German know-how in managing operations that are competitive on global markets while being located in one of the most expensive economies of the world.
  • India: focus on introducing India as one of the most attractive markets in the world for investments into local operations.


Residential period 6

Master Thesis (1000)

Course content

  • Developing topics for a master thesis
  • Introduction to writing a master thesis
  • Preparing the introductory chapter of the master thesis for each student including the problem statement, key research objectives, and the methodology

Course learning outcome

Students will have written their first chapter of the master thesis and have a clear roadmap as to how to proceed from there on.
